Our black long sleeve durable 5.3 oz preshrunk cotton shirt will withstand many trips to the washing machine without falling victim to unwanted shrinkage. Made with a seamless rib at the neck, double-needle stitching throughout.
Each shirt has a quote from the shop's guiding light Toni Cade Bambara printed near the wrist to serve as a reminder to you that "self-love produces the gods and the gods are geniuses." We encourage you to read and re-read while wearing this shirt and reflect as needed.
The back contains our origin story in white lettering:
"The Salt Eaters Bookshop is an independent bookshop in Inglewood, California that prioritizes books, comics, and zines written by and about Black women, femmes, and non-binary people. Inspired by Toni Cade Bambara and grounded in Black feminist theory, womanism, and the work of the Lorde, the shop works to create a literary resting ground for us all. The Salt Eaters Bookshop was created with dreamers, seekers of knowledge, creatives, writers, readers, change agents, and homegirls in mind. The shop was founded by a Black queer woman and funded by The People in July 2020."
